Hellenic Complex Systems Laboratory
Hellenic Complex Systems Laboratory (HCSL) is an independent, not-for-profit, virtual research laboratory devoted to the transdisciplinary study of complex systems. It was founded in 1993, in Drama, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Greece, by members of the Chatzimichail family.
Legal Basis
HCSL exists as an unincorporated association. It is not incorporated and not registered as a legal entity in Greece or any other jurisdiction.
Logotype

The logotype of HCSL features symmetrical, interlaced Archimedean spirals, symbolizing the interconnection, emergence, and evolutionary dynamics inherent in complex systems.
Motto
The motto of HCSL, 'All is one' (Heraclitus, On the Universe, I ), encapsulates the foundational philosophy of unity and interconnection that underlies complexity.

Technical Reports Publication Dates Policy
The publication dates indicated for each HCSL Technical Report correspond to the original release date rather than the latest revision. While revised versions may exist, they retain the original publication date to maintain consistency across references. Revised copies with their latest revision dates may be available on other websites.
Standardisation of Hellenic Names
The standard ELOT 743 (identical to the ISO 843) is currently being applied to transliterate the Hellenic names into Latin characters. Accordingly, the Hellenic family name Χατζημιχαήλ is transliterated into Chatzimichail instead of Hatjimihail.
Author names are shown as originally published to preserve the bibliographic record. For continuity across references, authors may continue publishing under the transliteration used in prior works.
